- How does this fit into my off-grid, home power system?
The inverter makes easy to use energy available from your batteries in the form of an AC wall plug. This is a small inverter, optimal for mobile offices, working remotely, constructions sites, or work trucks. The inverter connects to your Dakota Lithium batteries. If you are charging your batteries with solar panels you will want a solar charge controller. For real time data on how your system is performing you may want to add a smart shunt or a battery monitor which will tell you how much power your have available at any time.
- Recommended Battery Size
The minimum battery size for this inverter is a 25 Ah Dakota Lithium battery or larger. Optimal size for a full work day is a 54 Ah Dakota Lithium battery.
- What Size Inverter Do I Need?
Please note, this is the smallest inverter in our catalog. For larger appliances like TVs, coolers, fridges, etc. we recommend the Victron Energy 1200 watt inverter. Or if you are building an off grid system for a living space, like an RV, boat, or cabin we recommend the Victron Multiplus 2000 watt inverter.

- For 24 volt lithium batteries
We highly recommend you use a LiFePO4 compatible charger. 24v chargers for lead acid batteries may work, but will decrease performance and lifespan of the battery.

- Terminal Connections
Anderson SB 50 connections make it easy to connect your charger to the battery. Install the ring terminals using the bolts on your terminals. Bolt black to your black terminal. Red to your red terminal. Do not short circuit. Then connect the charger via the Anderson plug when you need to charge. Red light on the charger will turn on when charging. Light turns green when the battery is full.
- Smart BMS communication
Charger will restart or “wake up” a Dakota Lithium BMS that has turned off a battery due to short circuit or excessive amp draw. Simply connect the charger to the battery to initiate a restart.
